Many of us rely on Trafft as the “source of truth” for scheduling, but need external systems to confirm, cancel, reschedule, or approve appointments based on real-world events (payments, WhatsApp replies, custom reminders, etc.). Adding an API endpoint to update appointment/booking status—paired with webhooks to trigger external flows—would unlock much stronger integrations.
Update appointment status via API (e.g., Pending → Approved, Approved → Canceled, Approved → Rescheduled) so outside systems can keep Trafft in sync automatically.
Payment-driven approvals: send booking details to a local payment gateway via webhook, then mark the appointment as Approved once payment succeeds.
Custom reminder & confirmation flows: use webhooks to trigger reminders through your preferred messaging tools (including alternatives to the official WhatsApp setup).
Two-way WhatsApp confirmations (example):
24 hours before the appointment, Trafft triggers a webhook to your endpoint
your service sends a WhatsApp message with buttons like Confirm / Cancel
when the customer responds, your system updates the appointment status back in Trafft via API
Less manual work: confirmations, cancellations, and payment approvals can happen automatically.
More flexibility: teams can use the tools that fit their region and workflow (payment providers, messaging platforms, custom automation).
A complete loop: reminder → customer response → status update—without needing extra boards or complicated pipelines when Trafft’s calendar UI already works well.
