When your preferred time is fully booked, you shouldn’t have to keep checking back or miss out. A built-in waitlist would let customers join a queue for openings and get notified as soon as a spot becomes available — an “absolutely necessary” function for many businesses.
With a waitlist, you could:
Let customers join a waitlist when times are fully booked (for both appointments and classes)
Support self-serve and staff-managed waitlists (customers can add themselves, or an employee can add them)
Collect preferred availability (e.g., specific days, date ranges, or time windows) so alerts are relevant
Automatically alert customers when a spot opens up due to cancellations, no-shows, or newly released availability
Help customers get earlier appointments by allowing them to join a waitlist for any opening before their already-scheduled booking date (great for busy staff and first-time clients trying to get in sooner)
Handle full classes smoothly by capturing extra demand once capacity is reached and filling last-minute openings quickly
Why it matters:
Saves customers time (no more constant refreshing)
Reduces back-and-forth messages and calls
Helps businesses fill last-minute gaps that would otherwise go unused
